Hormone Testing

We are proud to offer accurate and reliable salivary hormone testing with fast turn-around times by Labrix a world-wide leader. Patients appreciate the easy to follow instructions.

Why we use Saliva testing for Hormones:

Saliva testing is proving to be the most reliable medium for measuring hormone levels. Hormone levels in saliva accurately represent the amount of hormone delivered to receptors in the body, unlike serum which represents hormone levels that may or may not be delivered to receptors of the body. Clinically, it is far more relevant to test the amount of hormones delivered to the tissue receptors as this is a reflection of the active hormone levels of the body.

What this means to you:

We get a more accurate representation of what is causing the imbalance so that we can get you back to feeling your best fast!

Comprehensive gold standard testing for hormones and adrenal function. John Lee being the leading expert was one of the first to discover this……….  Evaluates estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol levels, and ratios.

Benefits of Testing Hormone Levels at Home

Monitoring and testing your health in your own home is now a widely-accepted practice.  Home Testing saves you a trip to a test facility, and gives you the flexibility to collect multiple samples over a 24-hour day.

Neurotransmitters; Brain Chemistry Testing

We offer Neurotransmitter & Brain Chemistry testing via Labrix to discover causes of depression, anxiety and depleted energy levels to renew brain chemistry without the use of antidepressants and their undesired side effects.

Neurotransmitters are the brain chemicals that facilitate the transmission of signals from one neuron to the next across a synapse. Neurotransmitters work with receptors in the brain to influence and regulate a wide range of processes such as mental performance, emotions, pain response and energy levels. Functioning primarily in the Central Nervous System (CNS), neurotransmitters are the brain’s chemical messengers, facilitating communication among the body’s glands, organs, and muscles.

Identifying and managing neurotransmitter imbalances is facilitated with a noninvasive urinary test. Testing provides a tool to understand each patient’s specific neuroendocrine imbalances, which can be corrected with nutraceuticals, BHRT, diet, and lifestyle interventions.

After I take the home saliva test, will I get direction from Dr. Angie Cross?

    • Dr. Angie Cross, DC

Yes, you will Deanna. After you take the test then we will have your consult to go over the results and I will give you direction of how and what to do to balance your hormones. If you need more than one consult that can be arranged. I also, provide pdfs with additional information to better assist you. I look forward to working with you! God Bless!

I had a complete hysterectomy Feb 2012. I started taking prescription HRT a few months later for 6 mos to help get me through the hot flashes. I feel exhausted the minute I get up each morning. I will usually lie down 1-2 hours later and sleep for another 2+ hours. I wake up still feeling tired. IF I can make it through the morning without a nap, I take one in the afternoon for 2+ hours. I have no energy, no appetite (most days I forget to eat until evening). I take a multi-vitamin (1/2 am & 1/2 pm), Super B Complex, Calcium w/mag, zinc & D3. I also take a lot of scripts for different issues. I just turned 49 & have less energy than people in their 70’s. Is there help for me?

    • Dr. Angie Cross, DC

Donna, yes for sure there is help. We need to find the underlying cause. Are you on HRT from a MD? or are they bio identical? Sounds like you have a toxicity reaction going on, possibly from the HRT? Also sounds like adrenal fatigue. I do saliva testing that I think you should do so we can help you get to the bottom of your exhaustion. Please let me know if you are interested or if you have additional questions at Thanks!!
